Our Facilities

East Madison Little League Field (formerly Oscar Mayer Field) is home to East Madison Little League, and has been a staple in our community since 1958. The park has four playing fields. Each is fully lit to accommodate night games. The concession stand is centrally located in the middle of the park and fully stocked. Restrooms are also located near the concession stands. There are two main parking lots, as well as additional parking on the surrounding residential streets.

Field Updates

Who determines whether to play or not? 
When bad weather is threatening, the games might be called off. This is determined by our Ground Crew, who monitor the field conditions throughout the day. They'll make the call to either play or cancel games. If the weather turns bad just before or during a game, then the umpires will make the call to play or cancel the game. 

How will I know if games or practices are cancelled?
Check our website. We'll always post delays and cancellations on the ‘Field Status’ widget on the homepage. Decisions are made by 4:00.

Lightning
When an umpire notices lightning during a game, they will delay the game for 30 minutes. Players and coaches must remain in their respective dugouts for that time or otherwise follow directions from the umpire and/or league representatives. If there are no more occurrences of lightning during that 30 minute period, the game can resume.
