Challenger League is an adapted baseball league for kids with physical and intellectual disabilities. PLayers can range from 5 to 18 (or up to 21 if still enrolled their local school district).
Kids will play shortened games where Flexibility and adaptability are key. Games can be played as t-ball, Coach Pitch, kid pitch or a combination of all 3. All players will bat each inning as well as play every defensive out.
The key to any successful challenger league is the buddy system. Buddies are individuals who assist Challenger athletes in the areas of batting, base running, and defense, but only as needed. Often buddies are peer athletes who are participating in the Little League Baseball or Softball program.
for more information on becoming a buddy or any other challenger league questions, please contact Jake Hughes @ firstname.lastname@example.org
